Slide open the barn door and say hello to this little piggy!
The Pinewood Planks embossing folder ups the ante with 3D dynamic texture for my barn. A little sponging with Early Espresso over the Real Red cardstock adds more depth. The hardware is die cut from Copper Foil for some metallic shine, though I suppose I should have grunged it up for a more realistic farm look (my barn wall is new so it can be shiny!)
I colored in my little piggy with a watercolor pencil and blended the color with a Blender Pen so there were no harsh lines on my watercolor paper and fussy cut him out.
And the barn door? So easy with the new bundle, Barn Door stamp set and Sliding Door framelit dies. Ran everything through the Big Shot and voila! a sliding door.
The barn door bundle will be available for purchase on January 3rd. Contact me to get a catalog now.
Shaker cards are easier than ever with the new Foam Mounting Strips! The four big stars are all shakers with mini multi-colored stars inside. No need to cut the mounting strips for each star point. I chose a starting point, and curved/pointed my way around all in one strip. And the Star framelits make quick work of the shapes.
A super quick and easy way to get a big wow is a shaker card, and using a Project Life Everyday Adventure card pack speeds it up even more. I chose the ‘Celebrate Every Day’ card and applied a border of raised adhesive cut from the edge of a sheet of Dimensionals. The sequins are from a strand of Bermuda Bay sequin trim. Then I stuck a piece of window sheet cut to 4″ x 4″ on top and covered the edges with washi tape from the Everyday Adventure Project Life Accessory Pack, and mounted the shaker onto a piece of Whisper White card stock base. The matching envelope was done on the Envelope Punch Board. And the final touch was to emboss a 4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White card stock with the Large Polka Dot embossing folder and mount it on the front of the envelope. A little washi tape acted as my envelope closure on the back.
