Colorful Seasons

Stampin'Up! Colorful Seasons, sympathy card, watercolor, handmade, #peribeal #papercraftinghtreads

A bit of watercolor gives a soft touch to this sympathy card. I used the positive and the negative from the Stitched Shapes Framelits die to create a double frame effect for added dimension.

Harvest Blessings
Harvest Blessings

I love that I can make it personal when I need a sympathy card. Our neighbor, who was a retired farmer, passed away, so I pulled out the retired tractor image from Harvest Blessings and did some watercoloring. I stamped the image in Archival Basic Grey ink and watercolored with my aqua painter using Garden Green, Daffodil Delight, and Smoky Slate. A mat of Wild Wasabi on Very Vanilla card base sets off the tractor perfectly.

Poppies are one of my favorite flowers, so this hostess set was first on my list. I saw this card on the exclusive to demonstrator’s site, Stampin’ Connection. I CASE’d the card exactly, except for the ribbon. Love the simplicity of this card.
