Cotton Boll

Cotton Boll

Cotton boll or cotton ball? In this case, it’s boll, as the cotton is still in a raw state on the stem. Once the cotton is processed, it’s referred to as cotton ball. Either way, can you see the 3D effect of the cotton boll? I used a toothpick dipped in Embossing Paste to dab the areas of cotton. Then just let the whole thing dry for a bit before adhering the bouquet and milk jug to the front of the card.

The background was made by coating the inside of the Tin Tile Embossing Folder with Early Espresso ink and running it through the Big Shot (just rinse the folder with water to clean it). Then I sponged Pool Party, Always Artichoke, and Early Espresso inks randomly over the surface. And lastly, I smeared Versamark ink randomly on top, sprinkled on Copper Embossing Powder, and heat set with a Heat Tool. Looks like an aged patina, doesn’t it?

The milk jug is stamped in Early Espresso, and I added shading with an Early Espresso colored pencil, blended with a Blender Pen.
