Awesome Otters Hello Baby

Cardfront of awesome otter floating on his back holding a fish with Pool Party Simply Marbleous DSP

Awesome Otters make an adorable welcome baby card. And my card is interactive – watch the otter wobble just by flicking his tail. This little otter wobbles all over, but doesn’t fall down 😁

My Pool Party card base is standard US-sized, 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored on the long side at 4-1/4″ and folded in half. I ran another piece of cardstock 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ through the Cut & Emboss machine with the Bark Embossing Folder.

Next I stamped my otter in Black Memento ink directly on a piece of the Simply Marbleous 6×6 DSP 3″ x 3-3/4″. I stamped the same otter on a scrap of Basic White cardstock and colored him with Light & Dark Grey Granite, Light Crumb Cake, Light Basic Black and Light & Dark Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blends. Then I mounted the stamped DSP on a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock 3-1/4″ x 4″ and added that to my card base. A quick fussy cut around the colored otter and I popped him up with an Action Wobble. Action Wobbles are peel and stick mini action springs I found on Amazon. Then I stamped my greeting from the Happy & Heartfelt stamp set as shown.

I added a line of Shimmery Crystal Effects on top of the water lines. And want to know the next best part? The post office currently has otter stamps! So the postage stamps to mail an otter card match the theme of the ink stamps. Awesome Otters everywhere!!!
