Do you struggle with abstract card designs? I did too until I tried this trick! I cut out random pieces of gold foil and basic white cardstock with the dies from the Beautiful Shapes dies. Then I played. I ended up using only two of my abstract shapes on this card, but I also created my own abstract design on the base card.
I inked the large ‘splat’ from the Abstract Beauty stamp set in Blushing Bride ink and stamped it off on a piece of scrap paper before stamping on the cardstock. And I used some first and second generation ink with the scribble stamp. By using both full strength and stamped off ink, the abstract stamping looks more dimensional and has added interest.
The sentiment originally read ‘First of all, you’re amazing.’ and wouldn’t fit on my label die cut. So I covered up the words on the first line and the period with removable labeling tape. Then I inked the stamp with Blushing Bride classic ink, removed the tape, and stamped the sentiment on the label.
