Double Fun Fold Card Tutorial

Double the fun with a Double Fun Fold Card that folds up and then out! Adorable bunnies surrounded by daffodils and hyacinths set a soft springtime tone. Stamp set and patterned paper are from the February 2024 Sweet Springtime Paper Pumpkin Kit. Use what you have in your stash. Let’s get started.

		3-3/4″ x 5″ Early Espresso cardstock for mat
		3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ bunny cardfront
		1-3/4″ gingham print panels (cut 2)
		Scrap of Berry Burst cardstock

Instructions for double fun fold card

Score the long side of the card base at 5-1/2″. Turn the full sheet of cardstock to the short side and score 2-1/8″ the full length. Cut from one short edge to the middle score line at 5-1/2″. Turn the cardstock 180 degrees and repeat the partial cut on the opposite side.

Fold the middle section under and out the way. Cut off the extensions, angling from the outer edge to the corner on each side, reducing the bulk.

With the card base open and flat in front of you, stamp the daffodil image and the chick image from the Sweet Springtime Paper Pumpkin Kit in Early Espresso ink.

Fold in the wings on the bottom half, scoring and burnishing. Emboss the two gingham panels with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere the two panels to the front of the wings.

Close the top flap down over the closed wings. Adhere the bunny focal panel to the Early Espresso mat. Adhere the piece to the center front of the card. Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of Berry Burst cardstock in Early Espresso ink and handcut to size. Add adhesive to the back of the sentiment strip, form Linen Thread into a double bow and press onto adhesive. Add Dimensionals on top of Linen Thread the length of the strip and adhere to card front. Scatter white matte dots across front.
