The Fold Back Fun Fold card adds an elegant twist to your handmade Valentine greeting! This design has quickly become one of my favorites because it offers such a lovely way to create something really special.
The way this card opens creates a presentation – it’s perfect for Valentine’s Day but works wonderfully for any occasion where you want to make something extra special. And I can’t wait to create more variations. Let’s get started!

step by step instructions
Valley fold the 3¼” score line and mountain fold the 6½” score line of the card base. Adhere the large patterned paper piece to the front panel, leaving an even border on all four sides. Then adhere the narrow patterned paper to the front of the narrow side panel, butting the left side up to the score line, and leaving an even border from top, right and bottom edges.
Adhere the focal point to the left edge of the narrow panel, overlapping the large front panel. Decorate the inside as desired.
I’ve created a step-by-step video tutorial showing exactly how to create this fold – you’ll find it on my YouTube channel as a Short.
Version two of Fold back fun fold card
I made this second version using more elements from the January 2025 Hearts for You Paper Pumpkin Kit. Again, the only additional supply was the Basic White cardstock for the card base.
