Paper Pumpkin Alternatives piled up quickly this month! I couldn’t stop making different variations with the January 2025 Hearts for You Paper Pumpkin kit. Last count was over 20 and I still have a few pieces left. I did add in some Basic White cardstock for bases to really stretch the supplies. And I wasn’t shy about chopping up all of the envelopes to use as card elements. Want to see some of my creations? Scroll on!
A piece of envelope runs across the center of this card. I used a blending brush to add Real Red ink to two of the heart strips.
This is another version of the Fold Back Fun Fold card I posted here. I pulled the Postage Dies die cut from my scrap pile to use as the front flap.
Use an odd number of elements as a design trick. And note that the bottom point of all three different hearts end at a different plane.
Groups of three act as the design element here. I added three strips of diagonal patterned paper from a kit card base and three strips of connected hearts.
For more Paper Pumpkin Alternatives, use the Add-On dies Spring is in the Air to create the scalloped heart outline and the solid heart outline with one pass. Real Red ink on a blending brush creates the sweet blush.
Paper Pumpkin Alternatives are easy to make with bits and pieces. Part of an envelope, part of a card front, and scattered die cuts pull this card together.
