Monday Mashup Week 1 - Papercrafting Threads

Inspired by Summer Card for a Monday Mashup. A pile of strawberries in various stages of ripeness with vibrant leaves and tiny yellow flowers grace the lower left front corner. A sparkly gold and green ribbon runs behind the berries and around the postal die cut layer. Dark Secret Sea patterned paper with a crosshatch of Darling Duckling lines provide the backdrop on a white card base.

What’s Monday Mashup? It’s unexpected pairings of Stampin’ Up! products that create extraordinary new projects! While I won’t promise a new card or craft every week, I hope to make surprising combinations often, to help inspire you and get more out of your stash.

This Strawberry Summer card pairs the fruit from the Cheers & Sips suite with the patterned paper, die cuts and ribbon of the Perfectly Pears suite. Both suites are Online Exclusives and available in my online store.

I stamped the strawberries with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White cardstock. Then I colored the berries with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. I used combinations of Dark Petal Pink, Light Peach Pie, Light Lemon Lolly, Light & Dark Poppy Parade for the actual berries. For the leaves, I used Light & Dark Mossy Meadow and Light & Dark Granny Apple Green. I also added Light Lemon Lolly to the die cut blossoms from the Perfectly Pears die set.

The Perennial Postage dies were also pulled into play. I used the second largest die for the Basic White mat. And the hints of green in the Darling Duckling layering mat and the Mossy Meadow gold trim ribbon pull everything together.
