step by step instructions
I used the gorgeous Gathering Moments stamp set to stamp leaf images in tone-on-tone. The smallest round leaf image was stamped in Crushed Curry ink on Crushed Curry cardstock. Then I stamped the mid-size leaf in Cajun Craze on Cajun Craze cardstock. I used Cajun Craze for the toadstool, Pecan Pie for the acorn, and Early Espresso for three of the berry clusters. All were stamped on Basic Beige cardstock.
Budget and Shimmer Tip: I used Pecan Pie ink to stamp the largest leaf on Pecan Pie cardstock. Then I quickly sprinkled gold embossing powder over the stamped image, flicked the back quite strongly with my finger to remove the majority of the powder, and heat set for a subtle shimmer. No need to purchase oodles of shades of embossing powder with this trick.
Budget Tip: To save even more money, I did not purchase the dies that match the stamp set. The majority of the shapes were outlines of the stamp images. I knew I could easily cut out the images. Two ways to make fussy cutting easy…1) move the paper, not the scissors 2) hold the scissors at a 45 degree angle.
Fussy cut all images and set aside.
Stamp the greeting ‘Your friendship means the world to me” in Early Espresso ink on a scrap of Basic White cardstock. Die cut the greeting with the 2nd smallest decorative rectangle from the Textured Notes die set. Set aside.
Cut all the cardstock and patterned paper as noted in the chart above. Position the card base in landscape orientation with the fold on the left side. Adhere the large patterned paper piece on the inside right of the card.
making the mechanism
Take the Basic White mechanism and fold the ¾” scoreline as a mountain fold. Fold all of the remaining scorelines as valley folds. Add liquid glue to the ¾” tab and adhere to the center left side inside the card, butting up along the scoreline.
Adhere the larger Autumn Toile patterned paper to the Basic White slider. Fold the tabs back as mountain folds and adhere on the inside right of the card base, about an inch from the scoreline and lining up the patterned paper with the one below.
Fold the mechanism around towards the left inner side of the card, and above the spanner. Add liquid glue to the flap, and adhere loosely to the spanner. Fold the card gently and let the mechanism find its home (á la Bob Ross!). Once the mechanism has folded flat, open the card and press the flap to adhere permanently.
Adhere the narrow strip of Autumn Toile to the far left side of the Basic White liner, making sure the top, left and bottom edges are aligned. Then adhere to the inside front flap of the card base.

decorating the front of the pop up slider card
Run the Cajun Craze cardstock thru an embossing machine with the Gathering Leaves embossing folder running vertically on a horizontal plane. Adhere to the front of the card with liquid glue.
Position the square Gathering Together patterned paper towards the left side of the card front and adhere. Adhere the remaining strip of Gathering Together patterned paper over the square.
Pop the greeting up on dimensionals and adhere over the patterned paper as shown. Scatter Loose Gold Sequins on the front to finish off with some bling.
