A little canvas, acrylic paint, mod lodge, designer series paper, stamps and glitter, and voila! This multi media canvas is layer upon layer, with each layer adding dimension and interest to the finished project.
Multi Media Canvas
Brush a thin layer of Mod Podge on a stretched canvas. Apply a layer of Designer Series Paper – I used a text design. Brush on another layer of Mod Podge. Smear acrylic paint across the surface, with uneven coverage. The idea is to let some of the design of the paper below show through. Brush on another layer of Mod Podge. Cut, punch or tear out a ghost, moon and bats. I didn’t have a bat punch, so I used a butterfly punch, and then modified the butterfly by using my paper snips and a circle punch 🙂 Brush on another layer of Mod Podge. Apply more acrylic paint to the ghost and moon shapes. Outline the shapes with a Stampin’ Write Basic Black marker or a Sharpie. Brush on another layer of Mod Podge. Stamp randomly across the surface. Spritz ink here and there. Brush on a bit of Crystal Effects and add Dazzling Diamonds for a little sparkle. Done!
