Fold and burnish the scoreline on the Poppy Parade card base. Adhere the wider Trusty Toolbox DSP to the card left front panel. Add the long narrow graph paper pattern to the left side of the Crushed Curry cardstock.
make the saw blade
Diecut the second largest circle from the Deckled Circles die set out of Pebbled Path cardstock. Using grid paper and a T square, find the center of the circle and mark it with a pencil mark.
Place the grommet die from the Perennial Postage die set over the pencil mark. Line up the cutting plate from the die cutting machine over just that portion of the die and diecut.
Ink one of the grungy images from the Of Art & Texture stamp set with Pebbled Path ink, ink off twice on scrap paper and stamp on the ‘saw blade’. Repeat two more times.
Place the saw blade on the front of the card leaving about 1/4″ gap on the left side. Use a pencil to mark the Crushed Curry inner cardstock edges on the saw blade. Score and fold from pencil mark to pencil mark. Place adhesive on the saw flap and adhere behind the Crushed Curry panel to the right side. Adhere the entire panel on the card base.
Decorating the circle gatefold card
Ink the large ‘BIRTHDAY’ sentiment from Biggest Wish with Crushed Curry ink and stamp on the remaining rectangle of Trusty Toolbox graph patterned paper. Ink the ‘happy’ sentiment from the same set with Lost Lagoon ink and stamp across the top left corner of the birthday sentiment. Fussy cut the tape measure, pencil and hammer from a scrap of Trusty Toolbox DSP.
Add Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment, rolled up glue dots to the back of the pencil and hammer, and Stampin’ Seal to the tape measure. Arrange elements on the saw blade.
This fun fold turned out even better in real life than what I envisioned when I came up with the design. And that Trusty Toolbox paper is one of the FREE choices available for every $50 in product purchased from me between now and February 29th 2024. Get yours now while supplies last.
