One fun fold, two distinct cards – with the Corner Fold Center Pop Up card! Portrait or Landscape? Get two different looks just by changing the orientation of your card base. This All the Little Things Paper Pumpkin Kit Alternative for April 2023 is not limited to a card kit base.

The base of each fun fold card is 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″ and folded. I used one of each card base from the All the Little Things Paper Pumpkin Kit from April 2023. But you can easily just cut a card base from your stash of cardstock.

I created a template or pattern measuring 2-3/4″ x 3-1/2 from a scrap of cardstock. Then I cut it in half diagonally. I positioned each half as shown below and labeled the patterns.

Two triangles labeled for landscape and portrait card bases

Then I placed the landscape pattern on the top left corner of the closed card bases and followed the diagonal line with a scoring blade. I did have to flip the card base over and place the pattern on the top right corner and score again, as the card base was extra thick.

Press score lines into mountain folds; the center scoreline will naturally indent or turn into a valley fold between the diagonals. Then match up the corners on the bottom of the card base to square up the card and burnish the diagonal with a bone folder.

For the inside, cut a piece of patterned paper 4″ x 5-1/4″ and use the pattern to cut off the bottom left corner. Trim off 1/2″ on the left side or shorter edge on the small triangle piece.

Cut another triangle from a scrap of patterned paper using the pattern, and again trim the short edge. When adhered to the inside of the card base, the patterned paper pieces will have a 1/4″ border.

Both card fronts were decorated with cherry blossom diecuts, sentiments, banners, thread and gems from the Paper Pumpkin kit. Subscribe to future kits here. Paper Pumpkin kits speed up crafting without sacrificing style. And it’s easy to use the kit contents in different ways, as I have here.
