Cut and score the card base as noted in the guide. I used Old Olive for my card base. Fold and burnish the scorelines all as mountain folds. Cut and score the same color cardstock for the short tower, and fold and burnish the score lines. Adhere the patterned paper as shown in the sample.
step by step instructions for double tower card
To create the towers, start with the large card base first. Add adhesive to the 1/2″ flap on the end and fold and turn it under, attaching the flap to the front of the card.
Lay the short tower cardstock on top of the ‘back wall’ and add adhesive to the tall tower, using the short tower as a guide.
Then press the short tower square onto the tall tower base, lining up the left sides and the bottom edges.
Add adhesive to the top of the 1/2″ side flap and fold back this flap as well as the next panel and press to adhere.
The towers are done! Here’s a top view of what the towers look like.
I decorated the front of the card with the two rhinos from the Rhino Ready stamp set and matching dies. I colored the Rhinos with the Light and Dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. The little bird is Light Pool Party and Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends. After die cutting the foliage from Old Olive cardstock, I sponged the pieces with Old Olive ink for even more depth.
