When someone needs a pick me up card, this little stinker comes to the rescue! This special black and white smelly ‘kitty’ comes as part of the Best Remedy card kit. I paired her with a flower from the Wonderful World FREE Sale-a-bration patterned paper. There are no cutting and scoring directions as the card base and envelope are already complete, just embellish.
Ink up the little stinker stamp from the Best Remedy Card kit with black Memento ink and stamp on a scrap of Basic White cardstock. Stamp the flowers in a pot too. Use Stampin’ Blends to color in the images. I used both the Light and Dark Smoky Slate blends and the Dark Petal Pink blend for my skunk.
My flowers are Light Daffodil Delight, Dark Petal Pink, and Light Orchid Oasis. The leaves are Light Ossy Meadow. The pot is Light Flirty Flamingo. Fussy cut the colored images with paper snips.
I wanted my stinker to be sitting under a large flower, so I fussy cut one of the large flower images from the Wonderful World patterned paper. This skunk reminds me of Flower the skunk in the Bambi movie!
I placed dimensionals on the back of the images to pop them up. On the large flowers, I only popped up the flower heads and I used a glue dot on the stems.
I stamped the sentiment in Starry Sky ink on a banner from the kit and used glue dots to place it directly on the card front. I added cute little yellow flowers from a past Paper Pumpkin kit and tucked them in here and there.
Then I decorated the inside of the card with the stamped flowers in a pot with the same colors as the front. Since the card back is colored, the ink from the blends shows through minimally.
No naked envelopes here! So I stamped the skunk peeking above the bottom end of the envelope with black Memento ink. I slipped two layers of copy paper inside the envelope to prevent bleed thru when I colored in the skunk with the Stampin’ Blends.
There are enough card bases in the kit for 9 cards – make them as is or change it up like I did. I think everyone can use a little Pick Me Up card sometime.
