Cutting & Scoring for Easy Gift Card Holder

Assembly

I chose Night of Navy cardstock for my graduation gift card holder and paired it with the Waves of the Ocean patterned paper. Fold the cardstock base on both score lines. Adhere the patterned paper to the front panel. On the inside of the card, add Tear N’ Tape to just the sides of the bottom flap, fold up and adhere, forming a pocket for the gift card. Adhere the narrow patterned paper to the front of the pocket. Set aside.

Next I assembled the mini message section by folding the Night of Navy mini cardstock base in half. I glued the small patterned papermrectangle on the front and added a wave diecut from foil on top. My sentiment was stamped on a scrap of Basic White in Night of Navy ink. On the inside, I adhered the small strip of patterned paper to the left side. And I couldn’t resist adding a diecut pelican stamped in Night of Navy with just his bill colored with a Dark Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blend. He’s popped up on dimensionals.

easy gift card holder Birthday version

My birthday version below features the Artfully Composed suite of stamps, dies and paper. The base cardstock of this version is Evening Evergreen. Coordinating colors used on the front are Pear Pizazz and Crushed Curry. This time I added a fun border strip to the inside message area.
