Make Easy Gift Tags for your packages – all it takes is a little bit of paper, stamps and ink. There’s still a few weeks before the big day. Tags are a great way to use up those bits and bobs. Let’s get started.
The first tag measures 3″ square. Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock 3″ x 6″, fold in half at 3″. Stamp a sentiment from Magical Meadow in Real Red ink inside the mini tag. Add a piece of patterned paper from the One Horse Open Sleigh cut to 2-3/4″ square. Use the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch to highlight the little deer and pop it up on dimensionals. Add three of the Neutrals Adhesive-backed sequins. And for the final touch, add a strip of the patterned paper to the mini envelope.
For the second tag, add Pretty Peacock ink with a sponge dauber to the tree image from the Magical Meadows stamp set. Then nestle the sentiment along the top edge. Diecut with the new Perennial Postage set (coming in the January-April 2024 catalog!) Add a layer of Pretty Peacock cardstock behind it measuring 2-1/4″ x 3″. Punch a hole in the top left corner and thread with some gold ribbon.
And for my last easy gift tag, start with the 6″ square piece of One Horse Open Sleigh DSP featuring the fox. Cut the piece vertically in half at 3″. Cut off 1/4″ from the left side of the fox. Angle cut the bottom by lining up the bottom left corner with the track on the trimmer and the right edge at one of the line intersections to the right of the track and slice. Trim off 1/2″ from the top straight edge.
Then use the wood pattern on the back of the other half of the DSP. Trim the bottom angle in the same manner. And slice 1/4″ off the top. Layer the two pieces together, stamp the sentiment from the Magical Meadow stamp set in Cajun Craze right on the DSP. Punch a hole through both layers, thread copper ribbon through and tie with linen thread.
And to finish it off, add a bit of sparkle by ‘painting’ the tree shapes with Wink of Stella. And don’t forget the footsteps in the snow beneath the little fox feet!
I hope these easy gift tags inspire you to make your own. Customize the tags to the recipients and use up those left over patterned papers and ribbons. It doesn’t take long to make piles of these tags.
