Make an elegant Flap Fun Fold Card featuring butterflies. This alternative Paper Pumpkin card uses minimal extra supplies…just a Pebbled Path card base and a circle die in addition to elements from the April 2024 Delicate Wings Paper Pumpkin Kit. Feel free to substitute items from your stash. Let’s get started!

step by step instructions for flap fun fold card
Fold both scorelines as mountain folds for the card base. Place adhesive of choice just around the outside edges of the large piece of patterned paper (I cut down one of the card bases from the kit) and adhere to the front panel.
Die cut the second largest circle from Stylish Shapes Dies out of the upper right front corner. I left about a half-inch from the top and right side. TIP: If you don’t have the Stylish Shapes Dies, substitute any circle under 2-1/2″ in diameter.
Adhere the narrow strip of patterned paper on top of the inner flap. Close both flaps. The inner narrow flap should peak through the die cut circle on the right. Add adhesive to the portion of the flap seen.
Insert the Pebbled Path die cut circle and adhere. Open the flap out to the right and glue the patterned paper die cut circle on the back of the Pebbled Path Circle.
Stamp the dots image in Pebbled Path ink on the Pebbled Path circle. Add butterfly elements with Dimensionals. The butterflies can extend slightly over the edge of the circle on the left, creating a ‘closure’ that holds the card shut.
Add cut down envelope panel to inner card as a note liner. Stamp sentiment in Pebbled Path ink on inner panel. Add diecut butterfly from kit. Cut gold foiled sentiment down from the partially diecut kit butterfly panel and adhere to front of card.
This card shimmers in the light (very hard to capture in photo!!) And of course, the Flap Fun Fold Card is easily adapted to any occasion, just swap out the papers and elements to match. I’ve also created a short video showing the process.
