I just adore how this card turned out! The base card is from the Tin of Cards kit. No cutting or prepping needed – just open the box 🙂
Then a mat of Gold Foil Sheet with a slightly narrower piece of Fancy Foil Designer Vellum. When I was making the mat and overlay, I thought I cut them the same size. Happily, they weren’t and it looks better that way. And I adhered the vellum overlay with the new Fine Tip Glue Pen. If you only get one thing from the new Holiday catalog, it has to be that glue pen. No clogging and a super fine tip make it a must for a crafting toolbox.
The focal point shines with a Gold Foil Sheet butterfly layered with a Watercolor Wings butterfly completes the card. I used Mint Macaron, Wild Wasabi and a stamped off Bermuda Bay to layer the color on the smaller butterfly.
You’ll probably be seeing a lot of the crushed rock background in my photographs – we’re having some professional landscaping done, and the variegated rock just glows near sunset.
