I love using dies and stamps in unexpected ways to get the most use out of them, and I did just that with my Halloween Cauldron Card. As soon as I saw the Tasteful Labels dies, one of the dies reminded me instantly of a witch’s cauldron. I don’t think I’ve ever used this die as a label.
The card is square (4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″), and still fits in a regular envelope. I cut the cauldron from Black Glitter paper, as my witch is a bit fancy. The broom is from the Clever Cats stamp set, stamped in Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green and popped up on Dimensionals. The sentiment came from Thinking Thanks & Peace. I fell in love with that tiny ghost. I used the snowflakes from the Nature’s Beauty stamp set to make my variegated bubbles. The Rock ‘N Roll technique gave me a mix of Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape inks. And last but not least, I scattered some of the Fresh Freesia 2021-2023 In Color Jewels amongst the bubbles to really make them pop.
Lots of white space and a smidgeon outline of Gorgeous Grape makes the bright colors really stand out. I am so happy with how this Halloween Cauldron Card!
