Nothing unlucky about this Friday the 13th post! Homemade Lemon Sugar Scrub is a quick and easy gift to make – or keep for yourself! We made this version in Wednesday’s Papercrafting Plus class, and the girls loved it. And the abstract image on the top of the lid is scratch and sniff – and it smells like lemon too! The secret is unsweetened lemonade Kool-Aid. Mix a bit of the Kool-Aid powder with clear embossing powder, and emboss like usual. Once cooled, you can scratch and sniff. Change out the flavor of Kool-Aid to get different scents. Recipe for the Lemon Sugar Scrub is below. Enjoy!
Lemon Sugar Scrub
Sugar
Lemon juice (fresh or bottled)
Good quality extra virgin olive oil
Pour 1/2 cup of sugar into a disposable container. Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of lemon juice and stir. Add just enough oil to get the consistency you want. If too runny, add a bit more sugar. Pour into a 4 oz glass jar with sealable lid. Store in a cool dry place. Use on hands to clean off ink and other crafting stains. Use on elbows or heels for super soft skin.
