Recognize this rolling droid? It’s BB8, from Star Wars: The Force Awakens! And all created with punches, framelits, an embossing folder, scissors, adhesive and imagination.
Here’s what I used to make the little bugger:
Body – the fifth smallest circle from the Circles Collection Framelits
Circles on the body – 1 3/8″ circle punch in Pumpkin Pie, layered with 1″ Whisper White circle punch, with one left whole, and the others sliced off
Detail on circles – I punched out lots of the little “plus” shape from a retired Itty Bitty Punch set, then just trimmed until I had the modified shape I wanted. You could easily use the little flower from the current Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. Colors are Pumpkin Pie and Smoky Slate.
Spots on body circles – the ‘eyes’ from the Owl Builder Punch!
Head – the 1 1/4″ circle punch in Whisper White, sliced off. Then Pumpkin Pie and Smoky Slate strips, varying in width from a scant 1/8″ up to almost a 1/4″. The black circles are from the Owl Builder Punch.
The Pumpkin Pie accent pieces are from the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies, and the textured background is Tiny Triangles Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Another mat of Pumpkin Pie and a card base of Smoky Slate, and BB8 is ready to roll.
May the 4th Be With you!
