Mother’s Day Card

May 8, 2019 Leave a Comment

8 May

This Mother's Day card is perfect for the woman you admire the most!

For this Mother’s Day card I used the Strong and Beautiful Stamp Set and the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper (DSP). It’s a lovely combination for this card, and perfect for any woman that’s as special as a mother.

Supplies:

Strong and Beautiful Stamp Set (148732)
Petal Pink (146985) cardstock; 8 ½” x 5 ½” scored at 4 ¼”,
Whisper White cardstock (100730), 4 1/8” x 2 ¾”, Plus 5 ¼ x 4 for the inside
Mossy Meadow (133676) cardstock; 4 1/8” x 4”, 4 1/8” x ½”
Mossy Meadow Ink Pad (147111)
Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper (146913), 8” x 4”
Petal Pink/Whisper White 5/8” Variegated Ribbon (148776)
Floral Romance Seals (148789)
Multipurpose Glue (110755)

Instructions:

1.  The first thing I did was stamp the front sentiment on the smaller piece of Whisper White cardstock. I also stamped the inside of the card. There are so many nice sentiments to choose from in this stamp set.

2.  Glue the smaller Whisper White cardstock to the top front of the card. Set aside.

3.  Take the DSP and looking at the front, cut a diagonal line starting from one inch from the top right corner down to the bottom left corner. Your paper will look like this without the folds.

4.  Now flip the DSP over to score at 1 ¼”, 2 ¼” 4 ¼”, and 5 ¼”.

5.  Fold the DSP as shown below and glue to the large piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock like this.

6.  Glue the small strip of Mossy Meadow to the top of the nicely folded DSP on the large Mossy Meadow Cardstock.

7.  Next tie the Petal Pink/Whisper White ribbon around the very top to form a big bow in the center.

8.  Glue the beautiful gold Floral Romance Seal to the center of the bow.

9.  From the remaining DSP, cut a 4” x ½” strip to glue to the bottom of the inside Whisper White cardstock and glue the entire piece inside the card.

Now you have a beautiful Mother’s Day card but you can use this DSP fold and pattern for many different card themes.
