The extra wide piece of wood-patterned paper says Now That’s a Belly Band for this card! No wimpy 1-inch band in sight. The snow texture peeks out from the top and a bright green pickup adorns the bottom. And not one, not two, but three strands of twine wrapped around the belly band and tied in a bow bring even more to the wow factor. Let’s get started!

step by step instructions for now that’s a belly band
Cut, score and fold all paper as listed above. Emboss two thirds of top portion of Basic White cardstock front with the Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder. TIP: Place cardstock in folder with bottom portion hanging out. Position on die cutting platform with that bit hanging off before running through machine per usual.
Ink pickup from Trucking Along stamp set in Versamark ink, then in Real Red ink and stamp in bottom right corner of Basic White cardstock. Sprinkle with Clear embossing powder and heat set. Color pickup with Light and Dark Shy Shamrock Blends. Use Light Basic Black for the tires. Stamp the wood slats above the pickup bed. Color with Light Real Red Blends.
Stamp the pine bow from Greetings of the Season stamp set in second generation Shy Shamrock from top left of Basic White liner. Stamp detail in full strength Shy Shamrock ink. Repeat on scrap of Basic White, die cut and punch an 1/8″ hole in top of sprig.
finish it up
Adhere liner to inside of card with Stampin’ Seal. Adhere embossed front to card front. Wrap belly band around closed card with open side on the right. Slide lengths of black twine, Real Red & White baker’s twine and Gold Twisted thread around the belly band. Adhere flap with a small amount of liquid glue.
Stamp sentiment from Greetings of the Season stamp set in Real Red on scrap of Basic White. Die cut sentiment with long narrow tag die. Thread one strand of twine through the hole on the sentiment tag and the sprig. Tie in a pretty bow. Add a glue dot behind the right edge of the sentiment to anchor and keep straight.
