Perk of Being a Stampin’Up! Demo

Perk of Being a Stampin'Up! Demo, Animal Outing, giraffe, jungle

A perk of being a Stampin’ Up! demo is getting new products early. At OnStage, I got the new stamp set, Animal Outing. And I absolutely adore this giraffe and frog, and pairing the new In Color Pineapple Punch with Lemon Lime Twist.

Step by Step Instructions:

  1. Cut Whisper White cardstock 8 ½” x 5 ½”, score the long side at 4 ¼” and fold in half.
  2. Cut a piece of the Lemon Lime Twist lattice pattern from the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper to 5 ½” x 4 ¼”. Position the 4th smallest oval from the Layering Ovals Framelit towards the top right corner as shown, and diecut with the Big Shot.
  3. Adhere a piece of Lemon Lime Twist Ombre ribbon to the bottom quarter of the patterned piece. Adhere the Fresh Florals piece to the front of the card base with Multipurpose Glue.
  4. Stamp the tree branch with Lemon Lime Twist Classic Ink in the opening. Color in lightly with the Daffodil Delight Watercolor Pencil and the Lemon Lime Twist Pencil. Blend with Blender Pen.
  5. On a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the giraffe from Animal Outing with Early Espresso Classic Ink. Let dry. Color in with the Daffodil Delight and Early Espresso Watercolor Pencils, and blend lightly with a Blender Pen. The Early Espresso Classic Ink outline will bleed a little – that’s okay, as that’s the effect we’re going for. It adds dimension and realism to our giraffe.
  6. Use the same framelit as before and cut out the giraffe with the Big Shot. Using a scrap of Pineapple Punch cardstock, cut out the matching scallop oval.
  7. Adhere the giraffe piece to the scallop oval piece. Adhere as shown to the front of the card, over the piece of ribbon.
  8. Stamp inside with the “Thank You Big Time” sentiment and part of the branch in Lemon Lime Twist.
