Stand Up or Pop Up Card

Stand Up or Pop Up Card

This square card is perfect for those upcoming graduation gift needs. It folds flat for mailing, then pops up when the grad opens it. And you can even add a pocket for a gift card! Stop over to my YouTube channel for a quick video on how to make the base. It’s super easy.

Details for the front of this card:

Stamp the big dipper image from the Going Global set in Sahara Sand ink on the Sahara Sand card base. Stamp the compass image in Mossy Meadow on Lost Lagoon cardstock and punch out with circle punch. Cut two mats from Lost Lagoon, measuring 2 1/4 x 4 and 1 3/4 x 2 3/4. Cut a layer of the marbled design from the Going Places Designer Series Paper Pack at 2 1/4 x 3 3/4. Cut a layer of the script image from the same pack at 1 1/2 x 2 1/2. Assemble and adhere as shown.

Details for the inside of the card:

Cut two Lost Lagoon pieces of cardstock  4 x 4. Stamp with the big dipper image from Going Global set in matching ink. Cut a strip of Very Vanilla cardstock to 1 x 4, and punch with the Confetti Stars Border Punch. Stamp the sentiment from the Tin of Cards set in Archival Black Ink on a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock and punch with the Decorative Label Punch. Punch another label from a scrap of Mossy Meadow cardstock, snip it in half, and layer behind the sentiment. Make a gold thread puddle on the back of the sentiment, using dimensional. Punch an assortment of stars from Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow and Very Vanilla scraps with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. Cut a piece of the compass design to 4 x4 from the Going Places Designer Series Paper, then cut in half from tip to tip. Apply Tear and Tape to just the right angle sides. Layer and adhere all elements together as shown. Slide gift card in the pocket created on the ‘floor’ of the pop up card.
