Summer Road Trip - Papercrafting Threads

Summer road trip – when I first saw the En Route stamp set in the 2018-2019 Annual catalog, I had a flashback to all the road trip vacations my family took when I was a child. Now the majority of my memories of summer road trips are wonderful, but there were a few exceptions. Are summer road trips your dream or your nightmare? Enjoy and Share!

Cut Paper:

Mango Melody Cardstock 8-1/2” X 5-1/2”
Whisper White Cardstock 2-1/2” X 3”
Blueberry Bushel Cardstock approximately 3-1/2″ X 3-1/2”
Best Route Designer Series Paper 4” X 3” – airplanes print and ¼” X 4″ – map with gray grids on blue background

Step by Step Directions:

Fold the Mango Melody CS in half and crease well.
Using the Big Shot and the TIEF emboss the front of the card base.
With the Big Shot and the Layering Squares Framelits cut a 2-1/8” square from the Whisper White cardstock.
Using the Big Shot and the Layering Squares Framelits cut a 2-3/4” scalloped square from the Blueberry Bushel cardstock.
Position the square of Whisper White CS on the Stamparatus base using the magnets to hold it in place.
Place the map stamp on the paper, rubber side down and lower the Stamparatus plate to adhere the stamp to it.
Ink the map stamp with Mango Melody ink and stamp on the Whisper White square.
Position the “You’re Going Places” stamp on the already stamped Whisper White square, centering it over the map image rubber side down and lower the Stamparatus plate to adhere the stamp to it.
Ink the greeting image with Blueberry Bushel ink and stamp on top of the Mango Melody maps image.
Adhere the white square to the Blueberry Bushel square.
Next, adhere the airplanes print piece of DSP to the card front, approximately ¾” from the left card front edge, using SNAIL.
Using Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere the assembled focal piece square on top of the right side of the adhered DSP, half on the DSP and half on the cardstock.
Adhere the ¼” X 4” on top of the other DSP piece approximately ½” from the left edge of the DSP.
Adhere 3 different shapes and colors of the Best Route Enamel Shapes to the white square.
