Tri-Fold Accordion cards are so versatile and so easy! Change out the paper, change out the stamps, change out which panels are glued down. The possibilities are endless, and so easy to do. Plus, the month-long sale on select DSP’s is the perfect time to get packages of coordinating paper for making your own Tri-Fold Accordion cards.
In the top sample, I cut Cajun Craze base cardstock to 11 x 5 ½”, and scored along the 11” side at 4 ¼”, 7” and 9 ¾”. Then I acccordion folded the base. I layered Gilded Autumn DSP on the panels, cut at 4 x 5 ¼”, 2 ½” x 5 ¼”, and 1” x 5 ¼”. I made a belly band of Mint Macaron. The belly band is decorated with stamped images from Beautiful Autumn with Cajun Craze, Mint Macaron and Early Espresso inks. The leaves and acorn were punched out with the Autumn Punch Pack. There’s even a bit of gold from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper tucked in amongst all the fall goodness.
The Tri-Fold Accordion makes great scenic cards. I used the July Paper Pumpkin kit in this version. Takes me back to summer nights at the fair. Love that Ferris Wheel!
Just by strategically placing some adhesive along the edges of specific panels, create gift card holders! And great news, if you missed out on Feels Like Frost paper last season, it’s back. Of course, I stocked up again because that paper is so gorgeous.
With the holidays coming up, I see even more possibilities. Place cards for Thanksgiving Dinner? Check! Gift card holders for the holidays? Check again! What DSP will you use on your Tri-Fold Accordion cards?
