Make a quick and easy card to use up paper scraps! Just cut the patterns into one inch strips and adhere to a card mat. I cut my Basic White card mat 4″ x 5-1/4″ and adhered strips of the FREE Most Adored designer series paper in three different directions. Start with one direction (like the top left) and adhere the longest strip first. Work your way out to the corner. Add the strips leaving a gap between patterns. Trim off excess from the back. Then adhere strips from another direction, again working out from the ‘center’. Repeat until front is filled and trim from the back.
I added the finished panel to a Crumb Cake card base. A strip of Crumb Cake over the geometric pattern highlights the sentiment. Sentiment label is from the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set and matching punch. Ink is Flirty Flamingo and Real Red.
This is great way to whittle down that paper stash we all have. And it feels great to use up paper scraps instead of letting them languish in a pile. Visit my YouTube channel for a short if you need a visual on how to make this style of card.
