Create an antique look with a mix of neutral inks, a dab of shimmer paint and heat embossing. The final project looks like ancient tapestry, hence the vintage tapestry paper technique is born!
Besides the stamping items listed at the bottom of this article, you will need a bit of plastic wrap and a small container (like a recycled yogurt container) and some paper towel.
Instructions:
1. Using the Soft Suede ink and the floral image from Flourishing Phrases, stamp off the inked stamp before stamping on the cardstock, then stamp the design on the Very Vanilla cardstock.. You want the stamped image to be lighter, not dark and pronounced.
2. Pour a little Shimmer Paint in a small dish, wad up a small piece (around 3 or 4 inches) of the plastic wrap and dab it all over the stamped cardstock. Let dry. You can speed up the drying with the heat tool but do not hold the heat tool too close to the paint.
3. When dry, brayer the image with Blushing Bride and lightly cover the cardstock, leaving a few areas un-inked.
4. Repeat this process with Crumb Cake ink in to tone down the pink.
5. Wipe all excess ink off with a paper towel.
6. Rub the front of the cardstock with the embossing buddy.
7. Stamp the large stamp on to the cardstock using Rich Razzleberry ink and quickly cover with embossing powder. Shake off any excess and heat set.
8. Layer the stamped piece with Rich Razzleberry cardstock and add to a Crumb Cake card base.
