A woodland Christmas card in greens, black and kraft add an unexpected twist from the traditional holiday colors. the cute little gingham trees came from the free Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper. This paper is part of the second Sale-a-bration going on now. And I am so happy that kraft cardstock is back. The trio of kraft trees are cut from the Christmas Trees Dies of the aptly named Whimsy & Wonder Suite. I embossed a piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock with the pine branches from the Wintry 3D Embossing Folder. Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon ties it all together. What colors will you use to make your own woodland Christmas card?
TIP: The kraft cardstock is now available as a pack of 6″ x 6″ sheets. To make a full size regular card, I cut the card base from Evening Evergreen cardstock, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″. I then cut the kraft cardstock to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ and glued it to the front of the card base.
