Cutting & Scoring Guide for Easy Z Fold Card

Easy Z Fold Card Step by Step Instructions

Cut a Deckled Circle from the scrap Basic White cardstock. Use the sunflower images from the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks set to create multicolored sunflowers. I used Mask #1 (the three petal images) and sponged Crushed Curry with a Blending Brush, applying more ink towards the centers of the flowers. Then, without cleaning the mask, I went over the Crushed Curry with Pumpkin Pie ink and a small Blending Brush, and staying even closer to the centers than originally.

For the flower centers, I used Mask #2, lining it up with the petals. NOTE: The masks have a notch on one edge for easy layering and lining up…but since I was using a circle I didn’t use this feature. I used a small Blending Brush and Copper Clay ink to color in the centers of the sunflowers. To add more depth and dimension, I kept the Copper Clay concentrated more on the lower edges of the openings.

For the leaves, I chose to use only the largest leaf of the three different leaves on the mask. I positioned the leaf at various angles and used Parakeet Party ink with a blending brush. Varying the pressure added depths of color and shading. For even more variety, I cleaned off the mask with a baby wipe, air dried it and flipped it over. I even filled in some smaller blank spots with tiny portions of the leaf.
